![]() Of course, it’s also accessible to newcomers as well, with the original Japanese box art and that gorgeous, bloody flower on the case. Last but not least, retailing for $79.99 exclusively from the Square Enix Online Store, the Drakengard 3 Collector’s Edition was crafted with the fans who’ve loved Drakengard since the PS2 days. If you wait past April 9th, you’ll only get one item. If you wait past March 4th, you’ll only get two items. Basically, the earlier you pre-order, the more you get. You’ll be getting the Japanese Voice Over DLC pack.Īs for the second and third items… they’re a secret! We’ll reveal the second item on March 4th, and the third item on April 9th. The first item is something I know those of you who appreciate an authentic gaming experience have asked for time and again, and your voices have been heard. Mark your calendars, and keep that pen out, because there are a couple more dates I’d like you to note. Drakengard 3 is coming out on May 20th, 2014, for $49.99 on PS3. Let’s start big: we’ve got a release date. We’ve been quiet for a long time, but today, we’re dropping some huge news - the silence is no more! I like this expansion so far, I think it makes for good dialogue and contrast with 2B.Let me start by thanking everyone for patiently waiting for news about Drakengard 3. Right now it's clear he's going through some denial as well. I still think the anime goes for the same character progression as the game does (if you do certain sidequests he'll question his own beliefs but doesn't let himself or 2B go too far analyzing those thoughts). His first instincts when meeting Pascal was also heavy doubt and he even suggested destroying Emil lol. He still thought of them as lower beings at this point, but was more passive with his comments and seemed to indulge their requests like one would a child's. In the game, I got the impression that 9S had the same feelings about the machines as in the anime, but was more curious about their way of thinking, so he let them do their thing. I've seen some comments about how 9S seemed a bit too aggressive or ooc, I kind of just think they're expanding on what's already there, though I see the confusion. ![]() I ammm kinda sad we didn't get the Deep life questions from little sis, though they might save it for the next ep if they show the reunion. I also love 2B and 9S carrying their pods while traveling with Pascal, it's such a minor thing but feels very considerate to how it would actually function. The interactions between him and the other machines are so fun. Man, I love that Pascal tagged along and his animations are cute like last time. So they merged the Forest arc with the little sister quest huh. This episode might not be the most impressive episode on its own, but holy humanity is it impressive in how well it handles making the adaptation better and building all those small story moments that needs to be there for the story to have the impact we know it can have. They also showed 9S softening up to the machines, which is a bit later than the game, but that way they sold that he had no respect for them before, but now he might have some slight respect for them and not just hate them all for being machines. They removed the fight against the machines because it was mostly important for the game aspect of the story, so instead they made it into a mystery of who the hell is the android strong enough to wipe out a whole kingdom of machines and while we know the answer if we paid attention last week, it also shows just how incredibly strong A2 is. This is also extremely important for when 9S loses his arm, because it further exemplifies how despite being angry at machines, in that final part he is also becoming a machine Then they have the ship of Theseus discussion on the way there, which is such an important debate in this series and placing it here rather than when 2B and 9S visit the resistance camp the first time improves the point a lot, having it with a machine lifeform rather than another android and creating two different viewpoints based on their, for a lack of better term, race shows that while similar, the way machines and androids think is different. First they transformed random side-quests into the reason to go to the Forest Kingdom as the reason in-game was kinda just "go there". I actually have trouble expressing how fucking good this adaptation is, but this episode is probably the best example of how brilliantly the game has been adapted so far.
